FOR BUSINESS

Business broadband, leased lines and VoIP

When the line drops, everything stops — card payments, cloud apps, email, the phones your customers are ringing right now. So we treat connectivity as the thing your business runs on, not a utility we resell. AIT supplies and manages business broadband, dedicated leased lines and cloud VoIP directly, with our own engineers installing the cabling, wifi and CCTV underneath it all — one supplier, one bill, one 24/7 team that answers for every layer.

No middlemen, no blame games: if it carries your data or your calls, it’s ours to fix.

AIT is certified to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus — the connectivity we supply is built and run to standards we’re independently assessed against, not just standards we mention in proposals.

The whole stack. One supplier. One number.

Most businesses buy internet from an ISP, phones from a telecoms reseller and cabling from whoever the electrician recommended. Then something breaks — and three suppliers take turns explaining why it’s someone else’s fault while your team trades from a phone hotspot. We remove that conversation entirely, because every layer is ours.

The connection

Business broadband and dedicated leased lines, supplied and managed by AIT — with automatic failover options, so one dug-up cable on the high street doesn't take out a day's trade. Speeds from fast full fibre to 10Gbps dedicated circuits, matched to what your business actually does online.

The calls

Cloud VoIP that treats your phone system as software, not furniture: a predictable per-user monthly cost, your existing numbers kept, and calls that follow your people — desk, laptop or mobile — instead of ringing out in an empty office.

The physical layer

Structured cabling, business-grade wifi, CCTV and access control installed by our own engineers, not subcontractors — so the network is sound from the wall socket up, documented on handover, and supported afterwards by the same team that built it.

It’s the same one-supplier logic behind our hosting work — we host and manage servers for businesses like White Logistics from our two ISO 27001 UK data centres. When one team owns every layer, faults get fixed instead of forwarded.

The right line for the job — at direct pricing

We supply the full range, from FTTC and FTTP full-fibre broadband through to dedicated leased lines running at anything from 100Mbps to 10Gbps. Our premium carrier partnerships mean direct pricing rather than a reseller’s margin on a reseller’s margin — and one team accountable for the circuit from order to installation to the day-to-day running of it.

The honest bit most providers skip: not every business needs a leased line, and we won’t sell you one that full-fibre broadband would serve just as well. Where downtime genuinely costs you money by the hour, a leased line earns its keep — the bandwidth is yours alone, uncontended and symmetrical, so busy-period slowdowns and upload bottlenecks disappear. Where it doesn’t, we’ll say so and quote the cheaper option, because we’d rather keep your business for a decade than oversell it in week one.

Every connection we propose is specified against how your business actually works — headcount, cloud apps, card terminals, calls — and comes with failover designed in, not bolted on after your first outage.

Phone systems without the phone-system bill

BT is retiring the UK’s analogue phone network, which means traditional copper lines — including the ones quietly serving your alarms, lifts, door entry and card machines — are on borrowed time. Cloud VoIP is the replacement: your calls travel over your internet connection, your numbers come with you, and the dusty PBX in the cupboard becomes a monthly per-user cost you can actually forecast.

What your business gets, as standard: auto-attendant and call routing that answer and direct calls professionally, hunt groups so the right team’s phones ring together, voicemail delivered to email, and desktop and mobile apps that make a home worker or a rep on the road indistinguishable from someone at head office.

And because calls are no longer nailed to a building, VoIP is a continuity plan in disguise. If your office loses power or the street loses its cabling, your numbers reroute to mobiles and your customers still hear you answer — instead of an engaged tone that sends them to a competitor.

Before we migrate anything, we survey your site so every line that depends on copper — lift phones, alarm diallers, entry systems, payment terminals — is identified and dealt with on your timetable, not discovered on switch-off day.

Solid from the wall socket up

A fast circuit into a badly cabled building is a sports car on a farm track. Our own engineers install and support the infrastructure your connectivity actually runs on — and because the same company supports it afterwards, the handover documentation is written for our benefit as much as yours.

Structured cabling

New offices, refits and tidy-ups of the cabinet nobody wants to open. Tested, labelled and documented, so the next fault is a five-minute fix instead of an archaeology project.

Business wifi

Designed from a survey of your building, not a guess: full coverage for offices, warehouses and public-facing spaces, with guest access kept properly separate from your business network.

CCTV and access control

Cameras, door entry and access systems running on the same well-built network, installed and maintained by the team that already knows your site.

Comms rooms and office moves

Moving premises or opening a second site? We plan circuits, cabling, wifi and phones as one project, so the network is live before the desks arrive.

Designed for the day something goes wrong

Uptime isn’t a slogan on this page; it’s the design brief for every connection we sell:

Failover that fires on its own.

Where continuity matters, we design a second, separately routed connection that takes over automatically — your team may not even notice the primary line failed.

Monitored 24/7.

Our UK helpdesk watches the service around the clock, every day of the year — and when something needs chasing with a carrier, we do the chasing, not you.

One number, an engineer answering.

0115 9170 197 reaches a qualified engineer at our UK service desk, not a call-logging script. Faults on our circuits are ours to own end-to-end.

Phones that outlive the line.

Cloud VoIP reroutes your numbers to mobiles and laptops when a site goes dark, so a connectivity incident doesn't have to become a lost-customer incident.

Honest reporting when it's over.

When something does go wrong, you get a straight account of what happened and what changed — visible in the same reporting you can check yourself, below.

You see the same numbers we do

Helpdesk Reporting — included with the service, not sold on top

Every AIT business client gets a login to Helpdesk Reporting from day one — the same platform our own management team uses to run the service. Every ticket you raise, every response time, every resolution: visible to you, all year round, without asking your account manager for a PDF.

  • The numbers, not the newsletter — open tickets, response and resolution performance, and trends over time, in a one-page view an MD or FD can read in a minute before a board meeting.
  • Spot the pattern, fix the cause — see which sites, systems or lines generate the most tickets, so recurring niggles get engineered out instead of endlessly re-fixed.
  • Renewal-proof — when your contract comes up, you don’t have to take our word for how the service performed. The evidence has been in your hands all along.

The bigger picture gets the same treatment: quarterly service reviews with your AIT contact, working from a rolling budget roadmap — circuit renewals, contract end dates and hardware refresh mapped ahead, so nothing about your IT spend ambushes your cashflow. It’s all behind one Customer Portal login, included with the service.

Illustrative demo data

Built around the size you are — and the size you're planning to be

Under 40 staff

Full-fibre broadband, cloud VoIP and properly built wifi usually cover it — fully managed, at a predictable per-user monthly cost, with our helpdesk as your IT department. See fully managed IT support for business.

40–150 staff

This is where downtime starts costing real money: a dedicated leased line with automatic failover, telephony routed across departments, and either fully managed support or a co-managed setup where your own IT lead stays in charge and we carry the infrastructure behind them.

150+ staff or multi-site

Dedicated circuits specified per site, one telephony platform across all of them, and one supplier accountable for the lot — one contract, one helpdesk, one set of numbers in your reporting instead of a drawer full of supplier bills.

Not sure which band you’re in — or suspect you’re paying for the wrong one? That’s exactly what the free IT health check is for.

Business connectivity, answered

No — we supply connectivity and telephony on their own, and plenty of clients start there. That said, the one-supplier benefit compounds: when the same team runs your line, your phones and your IT support, a fault can never bounce between suppliers, and a co-managed setup keeps your own IT people in control while we carry the infrastructure. Start where it makes sense; widen it if we earn it.

If you've taken failover, your second connection cuts in automatically — often before anyone notices. Either way, our 24/7 UK helpdesk owns the fault end-to-end, including chasing carriers, and your cloud VoIP numbers can reroute to mobiles so customers still get an answer. One call to 0115 9170 197 and it's ours; you get on with running the business.

An honest rule of thumb: if an hour offline is an inconvenience, well-specified full-fibre broadband with failover is usually the right money. If an hour offline stops trading — card payments, order lines, cloud systems your whole team lives in — a leased line's dedicated, uncontended bandwidth earns its premium. We'll tell you straight which side of that line you're on, and we don't sell leased lines to businesses that don't need them.

BT is retiring the UK's analogue phone network, so traditional copper lines will stop working — and it isn't just desk phones. Alarm diallers, lift phones, door entry and older card terminals often ride on copper lines nobody's thought about in years. Migrating to VoIP ahead of the deadline means you keep your numbers, choose your timing and deal with dependent lines in a planned way. We survey all of that before we move anything.

As a predictable per-user monthly cost — no PBX hardware to buy, no engineer call-out to add a handset, and the flexibility to add or remove users as your headcount changes. The exact figure depends on user count and the features you need, so we quote after a short conversation rather than publishing a headline price that doubles once it meets reality.

Yes — we work UK-wide. Circuits are ordered and managed nationally through our carrier partnerships, installations are delivered by our own engineers wherever your sites are, and support is remote-first from our 24/7 UK helpdesk, so your postcode changes the travel time, not the service. Tell us where you are and we’ll confirm the options for your address.
