FOR BUSINESS

Managed IT Support for Business

Your IT should be one of the few things you never have to think about. AIT runs technology for organisations across the UK with a simple promise to the people who sign the invoices: systems that stay up, a helpdesk that answers, and one predictable per-user monthly cost your finance director can put in the budget and forget.

Take it fully managed — we become your complete IT department — or co-managed, where our 75 engineers work alongside the IT staff you already have. Either way, you get a 24/7 UK helpdesk, scheduled onsite time, and reporting that shows you exactly what you’re paying for.

Two ways to work with us. One standard of service.

Some businesses want IT taken off their plate entirely. Others have good people in-house and need depth, cover and round-the-clock reach behind them. We run both models every day — and because the contract is per-user, not per-model, you can move between them as your business changes.

Fully managed IT support

We are your IT department. Every user, every device, every server and every supplier relationship is ours to run — helpdesk, onsite engineering, patching, security, procurement and planning, all under one agreement and one named account manager. You get an IT function that would cost several salaries to build in-house, for a predictable per-user monthly fee, with no recruitment, no holiday gaps and no key-person risk.

Best for: businesses with no internal IT, and owner-managed firms where “the person who’s good with computers” has a real job to do.

Co-managed IT support

Your IT manager or internal team stays in charge — we make them stronger. They keep the day-to-day and the local knowledge; we add a 24/7 helpdesk behind them, 75 engineers of escalation depth, patching and monitoring tooling, project delivery muscle and cover for holidays, sickness and departures. Your team stops being a single point of failure, and stops burning senior time on password resets.

Best for: businesses of roughly 40 staff and up with in-house IT that’s stretched, and growing firms that aren’t ready for a second or third IT hire.

Not sure which fits? That’s precisely what the free IT health check tells you — we’ll recommend the cheaper model where it’s the right one.

What “managed” actually means

One per-user price covers the whole service. There is no standard tier and premium tier — this is the service:

Unlimited helpdesk.

Call, email or log a ticket and speak to a qualified engineer at our UK helpdesk, 24/7. Most issues are fixed remotely at first contact, and nothing is metered — nobody in your business should hesitate to ask for help because of a day rate.

Onsite engineering.

Scheduled engineer time on your premises, wherever you are in the UK, plus onsite response when a problem genuinely needs hands on hardware. Familiar faces, planned visits, no strangers reading your network off a clipboard.

Patching and proactive maintenance.

Security updates, firmware and system patches applied on a managed cycle across your estate — with monitoring that flags failing kit before it fails, not after. Most of the downtime we prevent, you never hear about.

A named account manager.

One person who knows your business, owns your relationship and answers for the service — not a different voice on every renewal call.

Quarterly service reviews.

A standing meeting where we show you the numbers — performance against response targets, recurring issues, risks worth acting on — and agree what happens next quarter. In plain English, at director level.

A rolling budget roadmap.

A live 12-month-plus view of what your IT will cost: hardware due for replacement, licences up for renewal, projects on the horizon. Your FD sees spend coming years out, so no invoice is ever a surprise.

One number per user, per month

We price IT support the way you’d want to buy it: a fixed monthly amount per member of staff, covering everything in the service. Headcount goes up, the bill goes up; headcount goes down, it goes down. No day rates, no surprise project invoices for things that should have been included, no “that’s billable” conversations. Your quote is built from your health check — here’s how the shape of your business changes the shape of the service:

Under 40 staff

At this size, a full-time IT hire rarely makes sense — but the risk of getting IT wrong is just as real. We act as your complete IT department: fully managed is the usual fit, with helpdesk, patching, onsite time and planning all handled. You get enterprise-grade cover at a fraction of one salary, and a single number to budget.

40–150 staff

The awkward middle: too big for informal IT, often too small to justify a full internal team. This is where the fully-managed versus co-managed choice matters most — some firms hand us everything, others pair one internal IT manager with our helpdesk and engineering depth. Compliance, security and supplier sprawl usually need tidying at this stage; the roadmap earns its keep here.

150+ staff

You likely have an IT team — the question is coverage and depth. Co-managed support gives your people 24/7 backup, senior escalation for the problems that stall them, delivery capacity for projects, and resilience when someone leaves. We slot in behind your structure, not on top of it, with reporting your IT lead and your board both see.

Every quote follows a free IT health check — so the number you get reflects the estate you actually have, not a guess from a rate card.

From first call to fully supported, without the drama

Switching IT provider — or bringing one in for the first time — is the moment most businesses dread. We've built a five-step onboarding that's deliberately boring: planned, documented and communicated, so your staff barely notice the change until things start getting fixed faster.

1

Assessment

It starts with the free IT health check: our engineers survey your estate — devices, servers, network, security posture, backups, suppliers and contracts — and give you a written picture of where you stand. It's yours to keep whether or not you go any further.

2

Design

We design your support model around what the assessment found: fully managed or co-managed, your onsite rhythm, response priorities, and the fixes that should happen first. You get one per-user monthly price and a plan you can hold us to.

3

Migration

We take over cleanly: documentation built, monitoring and patching tools deployed, credentials and supplier relationships transferred, and your old provider managed out professionally — we've done this handover many times, and we do the chasing. Your team gets told what's changing, when and who to call.

4

Embed

The first weeks are about momentum: the quick wins from your health check get fixed, patching settles into its cycle, your staff meet the helpdesk, and your account manager checks in weekly until the service is running the way the design said it would.

5

Roadmap

Around the end of your first quarter, you get your first service review and your rolling budget roadmap: what your IT will need, when, and what it will cost — refreshed every quarter from then on. From here, IT stops being a series of surprises and becomes a plan.

Helpdesk Reporting

You see the same numbers we do

Most IT providers grade their own homework. Ask how the service is really performing and you’ll get a confident anecdote — ask to see the data and the meeting moves on. We built Helpdesk Reporting so that conversation can’t happen: it’s our own reporting platform, your business gets a login from day one, and it shows you exactly what we can see — every ticket, every response time, every trend. It’s included with the service, not sold on top.

  • The headline view — open tickets, resolution times and performance against your response targets, this month and over time. The picture a director actually wants: is it working, and is it getting better?
  • Where the tickets come from — which systems, sites or bits of kit generate the most issues, so recurring problems get engineered out instead of endlessly re-fixed.
  • Your quarterly review, pre-read — the same figures drive your service review, so the meeting starts from shared facts, not our version of events.
  • Answers without asking — query your own support history any time, rather than emailing us and waiting for a report.

If a provider won’t show you their numbers, it’s worth asking why. Ours are on your screen from the first week — via the Customer Portal.

Illustrative figures — your business sees its own numbers in Helpdesk Reporting.

IT that answers to your board, not just your users

Fixing things quickly is the minimum. What owners, MDs and FDs actually need from an IT partner is fewer surprises — and that comes from cadence, not heroics.

Every quarter, your account manager sits down with you and walks through the service in business terms: how we performed against the targets you can already see in Helpdesk Reporting, what kept recurring and what we’ve done about it, where your risks are, and what’s coming next. No jargon, no slideware theatre — a working meeting a director can act on.

Alongside it sits your rolling budget roadmap: a forward view of your IT spend that we keep current all year — hardware reaching end of life, licence and contract renewals, projects worth planning, and roughly what each will cost and when. Replacement cycles get smoothed into the budget instead of landing as emergencies, and your FD gets what IT almost never gives them: predictability.

Credentials you can check, not claims you have to take on trust

Cyber Essentials certified.

AIT holds Cyber Essentials — the UK Government-backed standard for defending against the most common cyber attacks. We run our own house to the standard we'd recommend to yours.

Cyber Essentials Plus certified.

We also hold Cyber Essentials Plus, the independently audited level — an external assessor has tested our controls, not just read our answers.

Two ISO 27001 UK data centres.

The systems we host and manage for clients run from our two ISO 27001-certified data centres, on UK soil, managed by our own engineers.

Your data stays in the UK, your helpdesk is in the UK, and the certifications above are verifiable — which is exactly how we’d tell you to vet any IT provider, including us.

Business IT support — your questions answered

Because the discipline is the point, not the sector. AIT has been running IT since 2000, and we built our reputation in environments where downtime is public, budgets are scrutinised and service levels are checked — which is why we work to published response targets and show every client their own performance data rather than asking to be taken on trust. Today that same 75-engineer team and 24/7 UK helpdesk supports commercial clients too, and we host and manage servers for businesses like White Logistics from our ISO 27001 UK data centres. You get infrastructure built for scale, with the accountability habits most business-only providers never had to develop.

Everything in the service: unlimited 24/7 helpdesk, scheduled onsite engineering, patching and proactive maintenance, monitoring, a named account manager, quarterly service reviews, your budget roadmap and your Helpdesk Reporting login. It’s one monthly figure per member of staff — we don’t publish a rate card because the right number depends on your estate, which is what the free IT health check establishes. What we will promise here: no day rates, no metered tickets, and no charging extra for the transparency.

Mostly by what you already have. No internal IT, or IT handled informally alongside someone's real job? Fully managed, almost every time. An IT manager or small team that's stretched, lacks out-of-hours cover or has no escalation route? Co-managed. Under 40 staff it's nearly always fully managed; from around 40 to 150 it genuinely goes either way; above 150 co-managed is the common shape. The health check ends with a straight recommendation — including when the cheaper option is the right one — and because pricing is per-user, you can change model later without renegotiating from scratch.

Far less than staying with the wrong one. Our five-step onboarding handles the awkward parts for you: we build the documentation, deploy our tooling, take over credentials and supplier relationships, and manage your outgoing provider professionally — including the chasing. Your staff get clear comms about what's changing and one number to call. Most businesses tell us the surprising part wasn't the switch; it was discovering how much had quietly gone unmanaged before.

Defined ones. Every ticket is triaged to a priority with a committed response target — a company-wide outage is treated very differently from one user's printing problem — and those targets are written into your agreement, not implied. More to the point, you can watch us hit them: your Helpdesk Reporting login shows your actual performance against target all year round, so response times are something you verify, not something we recite at renewal.

An engineer-led review of your IT estate: devices, servers, network, security posture, backups and supplier contracts, followed by a written summary of where you stand, the risks worth acting on and what good would look like — with a per-user quote if you want one. There's no obligation and no hard sell; some businesses take the findings and fix things themselves, and that's fine. We offer it because it's the honest way to quote — and because the findings tend to make a better case for us than any brochure would.
