Trusted across the UK
Our Solutions
Our IT Support and Services as designed for the Education Sector, to bring you innovation and total peace of mind. We take care of everything, meaning that you can focus your time and energy on delivering the best outcomes for your pupils.
Every service below is delivered by our own people — no subcontracted helpdesks, no outsourced engineering. Pick the area you need, or talk to us about bringing it all together under one agreement.
IT Support for Schools
Our helpdesk exists for one sector only. Every analyst and engineer works with schools all day, every day — so when you call about your MIS, your safeguarding filtering or a classroom that won't start first lesson, nobody needs the context explained. Support is delivered UK-wide, remotely and onsite, with scheduled technician days available wherever you are.
Managed Services
We offer a wide range of managed services that can range from remote helpdesk support to regular onsite technician visits and fully outsourced network and monitoring arrangements. Our services can be tailored to build you a solution that can scale and flex as required. Our managed services go beyond traditional IT Support – instead we opt for a crafted approach around your evolving needs.
Every support contract includes access to our Helpdesk Reporting platform, so you can see the service you are getting — included with our service, not sold on top.
Connectivity for Schools
Fast, filtered, reliable internet is now as fundamental to a school as heating and lighting. We design, supply and support the full connection: the line into your building, the network that carries it and the Wi-Fi that puts it in every classroom.
Network Connectivity
Although many schools and academies may have their own technicians, school network upgrades are a major operation, requiring specialist help and planning from our team of highly skilled network engineers. As school IT specialists, we understand the unique ways administrative and curriculum networks operate. From Wi-Fi for Schools, Broadband and WAN networks to filtering, AIT is your trusted partner for creating a solution that works for your sites.
Installations and Projects
From a single cabinet tidy to a whole new-build school, our in-house installations team delivers ICT projects across the UK — surveys, cabling, wireless, servers, screens and security systems — planned around term dates and handed over working, documented and supported.
Installation Services
With a dedicated installations team who cover the entire UK, our expertly trained team have a wealth of knowledge and experience of installing all aspects of ICT equipment in schools. In fact, it's an area we are becoming extensively well-known for having managed Connect The Classroom projects worth over £3m, and working directly on new-build schools throughout the UK.

Cloud and Digital Strategy
Most schools no longer need a server room — they need a plan. We move schools and trusts to the cloud carefully, in the right order, and we put a written digital strategy behind every migration so the technology serves the teaching, not the other way round.
Cloud & Serverless
Cloud computing is changing the way schools operate, moving away from locally installed tools and resources and instead utilising the power of the internet to deliver more collaborative approaches. Our experienced team can help your school or MAT on that journey with careful strategic planning and a dedicated team with you every step of the way.
ICT Strategy
strategy without vision remains an illusion!' Our expert team can help map your vision to a Digital Strategy enabling technology to have a positive and measurable impact in your setting. Learning should be the focus of all the services and software's that a school purchases, particularly with ICT investments.
Security and Safeguarding
Schools hold some of the most sensitive data there is, and pupils depend on the systems around them being safe. Our security services cover the full picture — prevention, filtering and monitoring, backup and recovery, and the staff training that holds it all together.
Security
The advancements in information technology provide so many exciting opportunities for schools. However, they need to be thoroughly managed in order to keep data, information and pupil wellbeing safe and secure. AIT provide comprehensive IT security for schools so that you can focus on the all-important education of your pupils. Our services include Managed M365 Backup, Cloud Backups and Encryption Solutions combined and a team of experts who can deliver onsite CPD training to your staff. With AIT you'll benefit from a robust, secure approach to Cyber Security.

Telephony and Communications
The school office runs on the phone — parents, transport, safeguarding calls, closures. Our cloud telephony for schools replaces ageing on-premise systems with a modern VoIP platform: call routing built around the school day, emergency broadcast options, reception cover across sites, and handsets, apps and softphones for staff who move around. Because we also run your network and broadband, call quality is engineered in rather than hoped for — one provider, one number to call, no gap for problems to fall through.
Procurement and Devices
Buying technology for a school should not mean chasing three quotes, guessing at compatibility and hoping the budget stretches. We handle procurement end to end — specification, compliant purchasing routes, supply, imaging, deployment and warranty — for everything from a single laptop to a trust-wide 1:1 device scheme.
We are part of various DfE Approved Frameworks for procurement, including Everything ICT and KCS Procurement Services, and are committed to always providing the very best value for our clients. Thanks to a growing list of hardware and software partners, AIT can provide exceptional value and procurement compliant routes for our clients.
Clients order through AIT Ordering, our procurement platform — every purchase tracked from quote to PO to delivery, against a curated education catalogue. Included with our service, not sold on top.
SOLUTION DRIVEN
It doesn't stop there…
We rely on technology now more than ever, and it covers every aspect of our lives. As a provider, our services are designed around you, your school and the needs of your staff and students. We understand that no two sites are ever the same, and you need to work alongside a managed services partner who can truly understand the DNA of your school or Trust. We do everything in-house from technical support, installations and device repairs so that we have complete overview of all aspects of your tailored solution.
That in-house model is the reason one phone call — 0115 9170 197 — reaches the person who can actually fix the problem, whichever of these services it touches.

The platforms behind the service
Every AIT client gets our four in-house platforms as part of their service — included with our service, not sold on top. They are how we prove the work, not something we sell you afterwards. (All figures below are illustrative examples, never live data.)
AIT Horizon — the leadership dashboard
Executive, Schools and Support views give heads, trust leaders and governors one honest picture of their IT. The IT Finance module turns your estate into 5-year projections — so a hardware refresh stops being a surprise capital bill (an illustrative 120-device refresh due in three years appears as a planned, phased line in the budget, alongside software licensing renewals). A RAG compliance tracker, policy library and strategy roadmap keep governance out of spreadsheets.

Helpdesk Reporting — the service you are actually getting, in the open
An Executive overview, KPI Insights and Training insights, an AI Assistant for plain-English questions about your service, and per-trust filters so a MAT can compare every school on one screen. Your dashboard shows your own figures; nothing here is hidden behind an account manager.

AIT Atlas — Navigate. Manage. Deliver.
The operations platform our own team runs on: people, projects, schools and technology in one system, with CRM, Rota, Fleet and HR behind every engineer visit we schedule. When we commit to a project date, Atlas is why we keep it.

AIT Ordering — procurement without the paper chase
Quote to PO to delivery tracking, a curated education catalogue and supplier management, so your office team always knows exactly where an order is.

Who we work with
We support every kind of school, everywhere in the UK — and shape the service to fit:
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Helpdesk support is delivered remotely to schools anywhere in the UK, and our installations and engineering teams travel nationwide — we routinely deliver projects the length of the country, including new-build schools and DfE Connect the Classroom upgrades. Onsite technician days are scheduled around your location and your term dates, wherever you are.
Absolutely — a large share of our schools run a co-managed model. Your team keeps the day-to-day presence and local knowledge; we add helpdesk depth, out-of-hours cover, network and server specialisms, security expertise and project capacity. We agree who owns what in writing, and your technicians get the same tooling and escalation routes our own engineers use.
No. All of our platforms are included with our service, not sold on top. They exist so you can see what you are paying for: Horizon gives your leaders the finance, compliance and strategy picture, Helpdesk Reporting shows you the service you are receiving, and Ordering tracks every purchase from quote to delivery. Existing clients access them all through the Customer Portal.
We are on DfE-approved procurement frameworks including Everything ICT and KCS Procurement Services, which means schools and trusts can engage us through a compliant route without running a full tender of their own. For hardware and software, our procurement service provides framework-compliant quotes, and every order is tracked in AIT Ordering.
More easily than most schools expect. We start with a no-obligation review of your current setup, then plan the transition around your contract end date and the school calendar — typically with a documented handover, credential and asset audit, and a settling-in period with extra onsite presence. Nothing changes for staff on day one except who answers the phone. Call 0115 9170 197 and we will talk you through it.
