How to view/change your proxy settings

A proxy server acts as a gateway between you and the internet. It’s an intermediary server separating end users from the websites they browse. Proxy servers provide varying levels of functionality, security, and privacy depending on your use case, needs, or organisational policy.

Step One

For Windows users. Click on the ‘Start’ Menu, and type the word ‘Proxy’ in. 

Step Two 

Select ‘Proxy Settings’ from the search results. Under the ‘Manual Proxy’ set up, make sure the address is set yo http://filter.aitn.co.uk and the Port is set up 8081

Troubleshooting

If your proxy details are different to the above please change them and click the save button and try accessing the websites again. Alternatively please contact our helpdesk team.
